Yes, I''m yet another ''help me pick''.. but I can''t help it, really. I have been loitering and reading here for more than a year. First, I already know that this forum saved me from making some huge mistakes. But certainly now I am spending more money than I ever planned!

I am down to two candidates....

2.10ct G VS2 1.3 TIC : overlaps GIA ideal and AGS 0 ranges
8.19x8.24x5.07
no flor.
table 56%
Depth 61.7%
Crown 35.5
Pav. 40.6
Ex, Ex, Ex

2.00 F VS2 0.6 TIC
8.14x8.17x4.94mm
No Flores.
table 56%
Depth 60.6%
Crown 34.5
Pav. 40.6%
Ex, Ex, Ex

The smaller F is about $2k more, and that is what I am leaning towards.

I cannot get IS images.

I have been trying HARD to purchase an Idealscope, but I live in PA. This is a problem, because only one person is allowed to sell them in PA apparently, and he does not return emails. Somehow I plan to get one here to view the stone before I commit. Anyone want to sell a used IS?

So there you go. Am I on track at least?

both look like they have potential.
I notified Garry and Dave about the IS problem, they will see to it you get one.

Thanks for the IS help. This is seriously addictive. I''ll have to help all of my friends with their diamond purchases, too. Need to get the IS ASAP to be ready for mine. What a letdown it will be if the IS view does not match to the expectation of the numbers.

It''s a shame the local retailers have NO IDEA about diamonds. Beyond the basics, they act as if a space alien came in thier store. Some understand table and depth -- but that is about it. I''m from a scientific background, so all of the info here is fantastic!

Glad you are enjoying it here, welcome!

Ditto strm, they both have potential but the IS images will be very helpful.

I was the guy who delivered all the I-S for USA customers regardless of where ordered. Now it is Chris DiCamillo at gemappraisers.com. I go to my old office with Chris on Tuesday and Thursday and see them filling orders, so you have a unique problem. No doubt it can be solved.

I suggest you text Chris at 610-960-1768 and make sure he personally knows you have had a problem and want an Ideal-Scope. Give him your phone number or email and I am pretty sure he will make it happen for you. No reason not to and I know he has them in stock. I just looked at the supplies on Thursday this past week. You can also email Chris:
[email protected]

If all this fails, let us know and I will put one in the mail myself to you. All you need to do is order one from the shopping cart in www.gemappraisers.com "essential tools" with a credit card.

The problem is a simple one that you are in the same state and the tax must be levied.
We had to make a little adjustment - can''t remeber how it works - but it should.
Thanks for the heads up Storm and dave for the fix :-)

I am sure you will find a nice diamond gd412

I have ordered one on the website. I hope it can ship on Monday, as the stones may be here first.

Thank you!

Now I have to become an expert at aiming my big D3 Nikkon down the bore of the scope ; )
