RESALE 1.02 EGL FVS1 Round Diamond

We''re looking to upgrade my diamond, and can do so with the side diamonds in my ring, at our jeweler, but since the main one was not purchased there we will have to sell it to him.

My fiance paid about $8500 which included a platinum solitaire band (side note: we changed the setting so it now has diamonds on it)

What do you think we will get for it?

Depends on the actual color/clarity of the stone as EGL has quite a large variation in grades. On pricescope, EGL 1-1.05c E VS1 is selling from 5-10k, so resale price is probably around 25-50% of that.

Generally it is usual to expect 30 - 50% of what was originally paid but thats assuming GIA graded diamonds, EGL unfortunately can be even less. Has the jeweller made you an offer?
