Hi there. This is my first post but I have been a lurker for a few months while I was learning/shopping for an engagement ring. Below is a link to a stone I really like but wanted just the community''s opinion. It''s a White Flash ACA (which I understand has its own premium) but it has a lot of features I really like (ideal cut and a decent price for the face-up size).

A specific question I had was regarding the IdealScope image showing a little red-greyness in the center of the image. I know white is leakage but does the difference in the shades of red mean anything? Any opinion on the other aspects of the diamond would also be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi nmdsz

Its a beautiful diamond and the images are great, nothing to worry about. The darker areas are showing as contrast in the images, if you aren't sure request Bob from WF discusses the diamond with you, that will give you the reassurance you need.

I bought last week, and that stone was in the running. Bob Hoskins actually recommended the following ES stone (as well as the ACA I purchased) over the one you''re considering.

You might consider this one as well. It looks like a great deal, but the AGS3 cut grade wasn''t mind clean in my case.

Thanks for the info! I am exactly the same, the AGS3 cut grade just doesn''t set well with me. Unfortunately, there are very few ACAs to choose from (I think the one I linked was the only one they had in stock at the time that was 0.75ct-1.0ct. I still have a few weeks to buy the stone but I don''t know whether hoping another (better) one will show up.

Why did Bob choose the ES over the ACA I linked? Was it just better value in his mind? Thanks again for the feedback.

We did talk some about that stone being a better value, but I told him that all of the stones were in my budget so that was not my primary concern. The ASET for the ES shows a lot of red light, so I think that despite the good symmetry it''s just a little brighter and that''s what gave it the nod. Honestly, I was very close to getting the one you''re considering and I''d bet it''s still a knockout.

I''d be hesitant to wait on another stone. WF indicated that AGS0s are hard to come by, and although they''re expecting more inventory soon they said they''re expecting a lot of rounds and couldn''t predict how many princesses they might get.

If it were me I''d jump on it before you lose the chance.

Funny, I like the one bob liked too - the symmetry is a bit off but I agree that it will likely be brighter. I wouldn''t get stuck on the 0 myself.

Thanks again for the replies. While I do want the brightness of the diamond to be important, I would prefer to have a better cut and centered table (just a personal preference). I decided to put this diamond on hold just in case.

May I ask how your purchase experience went with WhiteFlash? This is my first time buying a diamond online and I guess I am just a little nervous. How satisfied were you with the actual stone versus the pictures aka did they do it justice?
