First of all, hello! I''ve been lurking for months and I think I''ve finally narrowed down my wants for the diamond I''ll be getting my g/f.

~1 carat
H-I
VS2
''ideal'' or more.

I believe my biggest want lies in the sparkle factor of the diamond which is why I think the cut should be ideal.

I''ve been searching on the recommended online vendors and here are examples of what catches my eye. If you could offer any insight at all, I''d be truly greatful.

Thanks in advance,

I like the ones you''re looking at...

Regards,

yap, both look good.

Good to know I am on the right track... so nothing is disconcerting about those 2? I don''t even know what I''m supposed to be looking for in an IdealScope; are those IS''s good too? Thanks...

(Welcome, by the way).

IS''s look good.

I did check here before responding...and one can always look harder. Indeed, your ACA doesn''t seem to yet be uploaded onto the spreadsheet I checked.

If you haven''t optimized, you''re not far from having done so...

I''m sorry for replying to this again but I didn''t find the EDIT feature.

I spoke to another JA associate about that same diamond I linked above and they were also amazed with its clarity. They are having a gemologist report back on it which should come back Monday (due to the holidays).

The only thing different with this one is that the table is a smaller 54.9%. Should that be a concern to me?

Thanks and sorry for the extra posts.

Nope, 55% table is just fine.

Thanks Ira.

This is another one I found in my range after speaking with an online rep at JA. She said it was absolutely eye clean. It would be great for me to find an eye clean SI1 instead of a VS2.

This one looks good, check the grade setting cloud isn''t impacting performance by checking with the gemologist.
Here is what the sales rep had to say:

I had the diamond inspected by my graduate gemologist today. She observed a few very minor clouds and crystals that were clear, internal and outside the table. They are only detectable under magnification. This diamond is bright, bold, and 100% eye-clean.
