Question for you all since I'm not getting an answer back from the watch or purse forums and need to make a decision:
I know very little about watches but want your opinions before I pull the trigger. I'm deciding between a Hermes Cape Cod GM and a simple Rolex 26mm with a navy face. Both are on pre-owned sites however the Hermes is new and less then the Rolex. Anyways, I've always loved the Cape Cod but wondering if you think the look is out or will go out of style? I know it had its hay day a few years back. I just don't want to plunk down $$$ and have it totally go out of style!

Thanks for the advice! The one's you posted are amazing and definitely my taste! Problem is I'm looking to spend $2,500 or less that's why I'm looking in the pre-owned category so it's more difficult to find the one! The Hermes Cape Cod I'm looking at is half off the retail price. Need to do some more hunting around!

The Hermes Cape Cod I'm looking at is half off the retail price. Need to do some more hunting around!

There are certain brands that sell New deeply discounted from MSRP, be careful not to be fooled by this especially for Quartz watches which in general don't hold their value. You may be better off buying a nice looking $300 quartz watch with that budget and in the style you prefer.

I apologize but I am not able to suggest brands that would fit into your budget under the site rules (vendor's cannot promote other vendors or products) but I think you can find them by looking at the styles online or visiting local stores that cater to mid range watches.

Good suggestion! I've tried on the Hermes watch 2x and have always liked how it's looked on me. Need to try the Rolex on next!
