Reputable diamond place in Toronto?

Hi anyone know of a good reputable price/diamond place in Toronto for engagement ring?

Also what to look for in an appraisal and certificate? Should I ask to see them first, what''s a good process? I have an idea of what Cut/Color/Clarity/Size to get, should I also be aware of a lookout on the depth/table/sym/polish/fluorescent/cutlet as well? I''m not sure what cutlet means, but I saw it on bluenile.ca

I just want to add, how do I know if the certificate that someone presented is indeed for the diamond that they are showing me??

Call Martin at USA Certed.

You can have it weighed, measured, Sarin-ed (proportion scanner,) compare color to other stones, and look at inclusions under microscope to see if it matches report. It should be up to the jeweler to show you that it is is the same stone.

Or take it to an appraiser. Mixed reports are rare.

A culet (not cutlet) is a small facet at the bottom tip.

The above are the proportions of a diamond, and very important for cut quality, it is cut which makes a diamond beautiful. Add to those the crown and pavilion angles, which are crucial. Once you have this info, you can run it through the Holloway Cut Advisor to check your selections and further evaluate those which score 2 and under, with Idealscope etc.
