Nuthead, I didn''t want to get your post confused with 2 Carat''s.
Your question was:
______
Hi,
I am thinking of buying the following stone and hope some experts here can give me a fair opinion. The price tag on this stone is about $11K.
Shape: Round
Weight: 1.51 ct
Clarity: VS-2
Color: H-1
Measurements: 7.34 - 7.39 - 4.53mm
Table: 56%
Total Depth: 61.50%
Crown Angle: 34.5 degrees
Crown Height: 16.21
Pavilion Angle: 40.75 degrees
Pavilion Depth: 43.10%
Polish: excellent
Symmetry: excellent
Girdle: .7 - 1.7%
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Authenticity: Natural
Treatment: None
The top questions I have are 1)is this an ideal cut? 2)Is it worth the money?
Thanks a million
Nuthead
_____
It appears to have a very nice cut. The HCA gives it a 1.3, within Tolkowsky ideal cut range.
Is it certified? Is the color reading H-1, as in the least tinted "H" color, or is that a range of H to I?
The price is on the high end of what similar stones are going for on the internet, but if it''s a local jeweler, it''s probably a good deal as long as it is certified by a reputable lab (GIA, AGS, HRD).
