Good Morning Ladies and Gents,
So I recently upgraded to a Jubilee and a new pave setting however I am having second thoughts about it.FYI I cannot return the setting. I always liked squarish stones however I love the spread of a round, plus they a traditional and classic. The stone is J, i1, and at first I thought this should be fine but it''s kind of getting to me, I can kinda see the yellowish color and when I look for the inclusion I can see it. Before this stone I has a .88 POH E si2? and it was so white and I couldn''t see a darn thing. In addition to that I have recognized the stone''s previous owner here on PS.

Here''s the problem, I don''t know if it would be possible to put a round in this setting, it looks like it can be done , but I''m not a professional. I don''t know if this is useful but the current measurements of this stone is 6.04x6.05x4.05 and the round H&A is 6.02x6.06x3.71 and it''s .83 carats.

Your responses will be greatly appreciated especially since you all have been so helpful in the past.

Hi Mrs Hall, I''m sorry you don''t love your Jubilee

I am certainly not an expert, but just looking at the measurements, it seems possible as they''re so close, however do you have a pic of the setting? I guess it will depend on the style..Have you asked GOG? (if thats where you bought the mount).

btw, I''m wondering why it does get to you that you know who the previous owner is?

Thanks for the speedy reply. I do love it but I guess sometimes too much knowledge just isn''t good. It''s not that I know WHO the person it because personally I don''t but that I know of the previous owner, i''m not coherant right now. Then I kinda want to know why the previous owner gave it. My FI is so tired of the ring thing he really is. I just want to have the perfect e-ring by the time the wedding rolls around. I would love to contact GOG but they aren''t open again until Tuesday.

Here''s a pic of it, I am having trouble resizing.

And here''s the yellowish ting

You know what, I absolutely LOve your ring! I haven''t seen it before, and its just gorgeous - can I ask who made the mount?
But, as we know its you wearing it not me - I too had a PoH until not long ago, and am now upgrading to an RB so I can relate.
I am also a fan of the "warmer" colours, and my new stone will be a K - I can''t see yellow at all in your pic, it just looks sparkly!

It would seem there would be a *little* work involved in changing the basket to accomodate a round, but it could probably be done by a skilled benchman.

I guess it will depend on whats more important to you - bigger size with lesser colour and clarity, or smaller with the opposite. Does the jubilee have the lifetime trade up? You could always wait a little if unsure.
I just think your ring is so pretty!

oh Mrs.Hall, i love your ring! unfortunately i am not qualified to say if you could change your Jubilee to an RB, but i would love to know who made your setting? i hope you are able to get what your heart desires!

Does not look like it should be a problem. Rest easy, Tuesday will be here before you know it and Jon will be able to tell you for sure.

Wink

I do love the ring too, but pardon my ignorance, what does POH mean?

Thanks guys so much for all of your replies. I defintely want something with a better color and possibly a better clarity.

Wink you just put me at such an ease. Thank you.

A POH is a Princess of Hearts diamond

And believe it or not the setting is actually a Good Old Gold setting and we got an offer that we couldn''t refuse.

I''m sorry it''s not working, it really is a beautiful ring. I hope everything works out to your liking.

That setting is amazing, I love it!

I am all for wanting to love your ering and getting it right before the wedding, that is why I am planning to change mine...for a third time

FI is totally sick of it too.

I love your setting, but are you sure it is just the diamond that''s bugging you? I''m just asking because it would be a shame to get a diamond that you love and then realize it was in part the setting too...

Greetings MrsHall(almost),

Just checkin here. Yep ... Tuesday will be here before ya know it.

Fear not ... no client of ours is left holding the bag. If you are 100% confident you want to switch out the center diamond you can go ahead and proceed to send it back to us via USPS Registered Mail to the address on our contact page attention Jonathan or Christen and we'll proceed to locate or suggest alternatives. Otherwise if you're not in a rush ... wear it for a week or two. Have some fun with it and if it doesn't grow on you the door is always open.

Warm regards,

So after writing Jon and epistle of an email, I come on here and here he is

I talked it over with my fiance and he can see the yellow and he highly recommends that I do something about it since I can be overly persistent and I will surely annoy him. I''m a New Yorker (The city via Brooklyn) so I will surely pop in Thursday.

And Shimmer, I am pretty content with the setting, but after you question gosh now I am thrown for a loop. I already have my previous Stuller Solstice just laying there now and I don''t want to do the same with this one. I love this setting, my only wish was that it was heavier. I went to the movie theaters (the best spotlighting I tell you ) and I could not stop staring at my setting, there are 16 round H&A (H SI2) diamonds in there and they really sparkle. I really hope that at minimum a 1 carat round can fit in here or else my fiance would flip his wig.

Thank you all so much for fielding my questions and for your generous comments!

Oh, I didn''t mean to cause any trouble! Your setting is amazing, I guess I''m projecting a bit of my own situation here.
