Replace basket of invisible set clusters with solitaire???

I have an invisible set diamond cluster ring set in a thick band with a milgrain design. I love the band but the center 'cluster' I would love to replace with a 1ct marquis or round stone. The basket is integrated into the band. What is the possibility and cost associated with this?

First - I'd hit the 'report concern' button on the top right and ask to move to Rocky Talky - more traffic and therefore more advice!

Some rings have an interchangeable head where it can be removed and replaced with a head that can hold a single diamond. If you still love the setting as it is, I'd urge you to go for it. You'll notice a huge visual difference when you have a single, large princess in there!
