Hi All,

Something just crossed my mind, has anyone ever seen a halo jacket for a ring? I happen to love my e-ring, but I did always want a halo and DH decided against it when he designed it and surprised me with it. I would never change it, and I truly love the design, but I was thinking it would be fun to add a jacket when I felt like it! Ive no idea how it would be done, I suppose it would have to "clip" somehow, with a hinge?! Maybe like in a huggie earring?!

My stone is a pear, anyone know of anything like this? or think it might work?!

Thank you!

MMM thinking more... maybe it would have to be 2 pieces that click together, as the diamonds in the halo would get in the way of the hinge? ie you might not be able to open it with a diamond wedge in the way!

It would be hard to make the halo looking nice from all angles wouldnt it?! MMMMm my mind is ticking now!! Anyone want to help ideas?!! Or has it been done before?

I've seen ring guards with halos.
Try doing a google search? I know I've seen some but can't find the links right now as I'm on my phone.
Sounds like a fun idea!

mmm still thinking. I would also have the problem of opening it i think. Once it clicked together, I would need a catch i could push to release it, or it would be stuck on! In one of my tennis line bracelets there is a little lever, but of course that wont work on a ring halo.

ideas?!

Hi Sweetasscher,
Ah that is interesting, I found this photo, but im not sure if that is what im imagining in my head. I have also attached a photo with my e-ring and wedding ring. With my design, its VERY hard to have anything sit close, so i think it might be ugly. I had so much trouble designing the wedding ring, that i just went with the simplist thing possible in the end... However, with the right jeweller, that might be the idea...

MMM would like to see if i could design a halo though, and find a solution that doesnt involve wearing more rings on my finger...

Thanks for the input!

My sister and I were watching a show where the actor proposed with a ring with a removable halo (accompanied by a cheesy script, of course  ) and we thought it was really cool!

I'm on my phone, so I can't add pictures, but do a google image search for Chow Tai Fook perfect match rings. That company is in HK and the pictures show the "halo-ing"/matching options with small, simple solitaires, but maybe you can get your jeweller make something similar for your ring.

Hi Hoover,

Im not sure if you know but i actually live in Hong Kong! Chow Tai Fook is everywhere here. :) So i had a look, and i THINK its not what I am looking for though. I just spoke to my jeweller and he says what i want is not possible, but Im not so sure!! I dont want a separate ring with a halo that interlocks, i am looking for a removeable halo that clips onto my current basket...

I think its all in my head, I might have to go to the shop and sit down with him. They dont like doing things outside of the box here...

Thanks for the input! Ill goto to Chow Tai Fook tomorrow to have a good look at the collection though!

What about for the latch those like on baby bracelets that you have to poke with a needle? No outside lever.
