Recovering Stolen Jewelry

hello! I'm wondering if anyone here has had any luck recovering stolen jewelry. Last week our home was burglarized (well, more than just burglarized, it was ransacked, really). Fortunately, most of my jewelry was locked away, but I was devastated to realize that they got my mother's vintage 50s-era 14k charm bracelet, along with about 10 of my own gold charms. I figure that it was most likely already sold for scrap, but I wanted to come here and see if anyone had stories that might give me hope to continue searching.

Has anyone ever had luck recovering an item? If so, where was it found?

Oh man, sorry that happened to you, tuffy. That sucks. I haven't experienced that, but if I did I would look on ebay and at nearby pawn and consignment shops. I hope you get your jewelry back. Good luck!

I'm sorry this happened to you! We were burglarized years ago and unfortunately my jewelry was never recovered. I would check local pawn shops as well as Craigslist, Close 5, and Offer Up.

Here is hoping it finds its way back to you.

Oh, tuffy, I'm so sorry to hear this. Does your local police department participate in LeadsOnline -- a lot of law enforcement agencies (and pawnshops, etc.) do.

Ordinary people don't have access to the database, but LeadsOnline has this Civilians help page:

LeadsOnline is the only such service I'm familiar with, but SafeWise posted this round-up of Websites That Help You Track Down Your Stolen Goods:

Fingers crossed for you!

I hadn't thought to check Close 5. I will do that, thanks!
