I''m heading up to NYC this holiday weekend to visit an undergrad roommate and my BF and I are taking this chance to browse the diamond district (if it''s open on saturdays)

Does anyone have specific suggestions for particular jewelers stores that are a must visit?

Thanks!

Hi;
Most of the stores there arent open on Saturdays there. The only store where the sales people are not overly aggressive and seem to be pushy is Mimi So''s. It is small so be on the look out for it. It is close to fifth avenue. They have some very pretty diamonds in the window that hopefull will catch your eye.
I do not know how the diamonds they sell are cut but I have been in there to look at ring settings for a stone and they were very helpful and they provided great coustomer service.
Good luck.

Phil

Hi - I can definitely recommend Michael Jay of Fifth Avenue! I have been working with him recently and he is terrific! He also has a website and online inventory as well as a salon you can visit, so you can get the best of both worlds. Check out his website and give him a call if you would like to - he is located in the diamond district. More on my purchase from him soon!!

Do you know michael jay''s website address. i googled it, but just found other people selling his work.

thanks for the advice.

Firenze. Ask for Kerry. Beautiful, quality diamonds & jewelry at fair--not dirt cheap--prices. They have a gallery here too.

They are also open on Saturdays (at least when I was there on a Saturday last year).
