Reception

Has anyone compared prices of having a ''typical'' reception (6PM-12PM, buffet or sit-down, full bar) or a cocktail type reception? (6PM-9PM, hors d’oeuvres, wine/champaign) If so, which seems to be less expensive?

Yes, but the place that I wanted the cocktail party was $116 per head (yes, you read correctly, for hor d''oevres and drinks)

We found a sweet and charming historic B&B/restaurant that we can have a sit down for around $50 per head.

Go figure!
