Recent stones

I was battling the setting sun and didn''t want to use flash, so these aren''t the greatest but thought I''d post them anyways.



Used fill flash on the first one and it still turned out too bright, so decided to stop using it.

My favorite of the peridot:

Tanga - dark, but I love the cut.

I bought this last week for my mom since I thought she''d think it was fun stone to have. It normally looks like the image on the far right, slightly lighter. Hadn''t seen the orange or purple before tonight!

Your pictures look good.

It is best to turn the flash off so you won''t get any glare off the gemstone. I recognize the 3rd stone as a Gene stone, and maybe the Tanga garnet is his too. Who cut the first one?

It looks to have a brilliant cut pavilion coupled with a checkerboard crown.

I was using on camera flash - shame on me. Just too tired to take out the real flash and diffuser. Maybe one of these days I''ll stop being lazy!

The peridot is from John B. and the pink tourmaline is from Gene (I do know the garnet you are referring to MTG). I''ll have to find the invoice for the tanga garnet, I can''t remember the cutter offhand.
