Looking into other companies I do notice stones of this color being called sapphire. I believe it is because of the orangey hue that it carries. Am I wrong?
I will get better shots in the sun tomorrow. I am thing maybe a solitaire setting. I love the look of the stone on its own. I would love a halo but it is a little out of my price range at the moment.
Gorgeous stone! I wouldn''t call it a ruby, looks more orangey (at least it does on my screen). But regardless-- it''s beautiful! I love solitaires too.
Very pretty. I can''t wait to see more pictures because it looks orange on my screen too. I understand how hard it is to photograph a colored stone and get good, clear pictures AND get accurate color representation. I must have taken close to 200 shots of my sapphire in the week that I had it before it was sent off to be set! Good luck!
