Of course I don't approach them that way Stormdr. I know in the back of my head what is out there. I don't discuss that with the jeweler. I simply approach a jewler, explaining what I would like, and asking him if he can do it. I don't get many words in before they say no. I'm sorry if my post shows a particular "attitude"..I am a well educated, well mannered individual, I may vent a little on this forum, isn't that what it's here for? For one to discuss diamonds, find helpful info, request opinions and advice? Besides, after a year of trying to have someone reset this beautiful diamond, it starts to become more of a nuisance than a joy! I'm a little frustrated...sorry! I run a successful business...and I it upsets me to see fellow business owners turn business away, and act so unprofessional! I thank you for suggesting David's site.Date: 5/22/2008 9:42:51 PM

hmmm you cant compare a $572 setting to a custom halo.
If you approach them with the attitude your post shows it is no wonder they wont work with you.
Sorry but it had to be said.
Consider a different approach if you want them to work with you.
