Real iolite?

I bought this iolite from India a while ago and I just want to know if thats really what I got? It looks clear from some angles, but not seeing much of the yellow/brown pleochroism that appears in other stones. I did ask seller for certification, could I trust this report?

Can't tell based on just a photo, sorry.

IGI is a reputable lab, may not be that highly regarded within the PS community, however, they are internationally recognised.

Therefore, I do not doubt if the certificate is not genuine.

Sounds like it's Iolite.

Iolite is typically a strong blue down one axis and almost colorless light grayish the other axis. Since it's not a terribly expensive stone, I would have no reason to doubt the lab report you have.

Underrated gem material (same with Kyanite from Nepal).

Often terrible cutting - they could be so beautiful.
Really a shame.
