I am ready to pull the trigger on the following. Is this a good deal at approx $6000 (after the PS and Wire Discount)?

Here is the story: I had a phone consultation with a JA gemologist and here is the summary: "The diamond has excelent fire and great brilliance, and scintillation. It is exceptionally bright and is the best and brightest of the diamonds we discussed. It has a true "I" color that will face up a nice white; The inclusions(twining wisps, feather) blend well, it should face perfectly eye clean to the average eye."

Here are the specs:

So what so you?

Shameless bump

I don't understand the phrase "the inclusions blend well," but then again I'm a rookie. It looks like you have chosen to go with 1 carat and you are on a fixed budget trying to get the nicest 1 carat stone you can. You didn't select the Hearts and Arrows cut so I'd look at .85-.99 carat to see if you couldn't find a better cut slightly smaller cut for your budget. Here are some JAs:

Somethings to consider.

I agree that the inclusions do lend themselves great to being an eye clean stone. As the cert says, the light performance, symmetry and polish are all graded as ASG Ideal 0-and that is awesome!

I think that it looks like a great diamond, you can't go wrong with an ASG Ideal 0!

Oops. Please replace my "ASG"s with AGS. Apparently my morning coffee hadn't kicked in yet when I wrote my above post!
