Ready to buy but nervous

First, I have been following pricescope posts for months, and I have to thank everyone for the boo-coos of information I have learned in the process! You all have been the BEST resource. My boyfriend and I have been looking at rings for some time and he is now ready to buy ASAP. The catch: we are both graduate students and I have taste more expensive than our budgets!

I have my heart set on a cushion brilliant and we have a couple of good cushion options within our price range. However, with all the raving that I have heard on here about Mark T from ERD, I feel like we would be making a big mistake if we bought elsewhere without Mark''s input! This is especially so since we are going for the biggest bang for the buck. We emailed him last week and he got back to us very quickly saying he would call the next day to discuss our options. However, no call ever came. I emailed him again yesterday just to check in, and I still haven''t received a response. Should I wait to hear from him? Would it be breaking a diamond-world rule to email him a third time? Should we go ahead and buy somewhere else? I would appreciate any advice, especially from people who have worked with him in the past.

The only diamond rules here are to take advice & follow your instincts.

Lore is right, just call him then call him again after that if you still can''t get through. These guys are busy with a capital Bee.

If you are concerned about his level of service in not returning your mail or call - at least speak with him. If you still aren''t happy then you can move on!

Hey - I''d say if it''s not urgent, just let him know you''re still expecting his call. If your timeline is in fact urgent, also let him know so he can prioritize.

I have been in touch with Mark T. about cushion brilliants as well and have set up a time to meet with him next week. We''re so excited! Similarly, he called us a few days after we had exchanged a few emails, but I wouldn''t let that be too much of a dismay, as he did in the end get back to us and set up an appt.
