I've posted on this site before regarding Tiffany diamonds... and I will be going with one very soon.
I need help deciding which one though.. Please help! :) All prices are in the 19,000 range.
Do the diameters match up?
Option one is the only one that gets excellent for all criteria in the HCA... Should I focus on that?
Also, no fluroescence.. is that good?
Does symmetry matter much?
What's the difference between the girdles?
Does HCA really matter?
I'm leaning towards Option 1. Anyone disagree?
Please help... I need experts in the area to guide me!

You already have my opinion on the cut quality.
And I bet you can not tell the difference between an E and a G when set. I cant either.

Do the diameters match up? Fine
Option one is the only one that gets excellent for all criteria in the HCA... Should I focus on that? Numbers on all are fine, need more info to whittle it down further blindly online - but you can see them in-person, yes? So take them around the store and see which one your eyes like best through a variety of lighting types.
Also, no fluroescence.. is that good? Good if you don't want fluor, bad if you do ;))
Does symmetry matter much? Depends what exactly is causing the difference, and whether you care
What's the difference between the girdles? All fine
Does HCA really matter? Yes, it wouldn't be a popular tool if it wasn't helpful, but it is still just a tool with pros and cons and uses and limitations...
I'm leaning towards Option 1. Anyone disagree? Not enough info to pick by with any surety. All look fine by the numbers, that's about all we can say with just the info you've posted. I would scratch the E on principle - I don't like paying for clarity I can't appreciate, and I'd rather have the size since I personally don't care about the difference between E and G either

I would also choose #1 or #2. You are very lucky to have 2 stones in the 1.4 ct. range to choose from because they are not common.

i have not seen them in person as of yet.. they are being held for me. i will see them next week in the store.. anything specific i should ask them about these stones before i choose?
based on HCA, should I go with option #1 even if they look identical in person? just to know it is excellent via HCA?
i have a feeling they will look the same? am i wrong?
any more info on the girdles and fluorescence?
big decision... i appreciate all the input!

diamondseeker, i didn't think 1.44 would be a rare size?
i know it's a good quality, but i didn't think option 1 was THAT great/ rare.
please elaborate. thanks! :)

Most cutters will try to hit the 1.5 mark because there is a big price jump at 1.5 cts. You'll see plenty of stones in the 1.20's and some in the 1.30's but few in the 1.40's for that reason. That was the exact size I was looking for when I came here 6 years ago, and I ended up going above 1.5 because it was very hard to find one in the 1.40's that was ideal cut and had the color/clarity I wanted. So it is great you have two nice ones from which to choose! The price would be considerably higher if they had just a tiny bit more weight!

And looking at them again more closely, I would choose #1 if I had to choose from the paper. You are fortunate to get to see them!
