Looking more at this, I think one of the oddities is that it looks very long. It needs to be more fat. See pics below.

Found this that better shows the tension like setting to hold the princess. This shows my idea on the prong that is pretty minimal more clearly. The only difference is that it would be off the pave shank.

thank you for all the awesome suggestions @sledge @rockysalamander @Lykame Been MIA for a few days due to some work travel. Now that I'm back home I've had some time to sit down tonight and read through all the information here. It my pondering while I was traveling I do agree with your comment @yssie about practicality of those tips hooking on everything. If I wore it every day and it was catching on my clothes the novelty of the tips would wear off rather quickly once there were holes in the left sleeve of every shirt I owned

I also smirked a little at some of the suggestions as well since I was eyeballing a design similar to the brilliance setting that Rocky posted here. Sounds like we were on the same wavelength.

that said, I much prefer what you've suggested here @rockysalamander. It's got more of the character that I'm looking, once you put in those modifications, than the somewhat plain design that I came across (attached here for reference).

I've sent this info to the guys at GOG, as well as reached out to the folks at Brilliance, just to do a little comparison shopping on what they each come back with.
