re-sizing recommendation in toronto

hi guys ... back for some more advice.

i received the ring today from bluenile and it looks amazing. based on how it fit my pinky finger - i''m guessing its going to be slightly too big and will need to get it re-sized. I''ll do all of this with her (no more guess work) but am hoping some of you who are familiar with the toronto region could recommend some jewelers who would do a great job with 950 platinum.

any help is greatly appreciated.

I would absolutely LOVE to share my jeweler. I live downtown, but they are located in Woodbridge (hope you have a car!). It is a family owned business, of the nicest Italians, who primarily specialize in Italian imports and high end goods. They just happen to work with an unbelievably talented benchman (setter - who is off location).

i''ve been told by some jewelers that with platinum the ''cut line'' will be visible ... does anybody know if this is unavoidable?

This is definitely avoidable! A skilled person can resize platinum without a visible cut line. You just need to be careful in where you bring the ring -- some places can butcher a platinum ring in the course of resizing it.
