Basically the story is that i have a friend who is getting ready to propose. He wants to get her a round diamond in the 2 ct +/-range. I am getting the impression that 15k is a good number for him. Right now his cousin is trying to talk him into a Leo diamond from Kay and I told him to run for the hills.

Can ya''ll help me give him some chioces?? I know my cushion but am clueless about rounds!

Here is an option for him, but it will be hard to hit 2 carats with that budget unless he is willing to do a J SI diamond (which should be fine in a round) like this one which looks pretty clean for an Si2:

Crooked, if you do a search on here, you''ll get several threads on the Leo. But I would say, if he''s trying to maximize his budget, going with a branded stone is not the way, as they carry a premium.
