RB .55 to .70, what setting do you like best?

Hey everyone. I had to redo my orig. plan and decided a lesser priced diamond/setting is best for now. That way I can pay w/ cash and not have to charge it.

I have found a ACA .58 RB from WF. What setting do you think compliments a smaller rb the best?

Settings I like are:

4 prong Tiffany style:

For a solitaire, I suggest the X prong...looks great on lots of sizes. I also like the petite cathedral. If she''s into halos, a halo would be nice, too. But the 4 prong Tiffany is a little too basic for me.

definitely don''t break the bank ... set a sensible budget - that''s most important.

all of those settings are great. if you can afford it, the halo would be nice. But since it sounds like money is an issue the other 2 are great options - the 1st one is simple and classic, and the cathedral is very nice and slightly more unique compared to a simple tiffany style setting. But its just a matter of 1) how much you can afford and 2) what YOU like best! they''re all good options

I also like this Tacori setting but it might be a little expensive.

With the size of a .58, would the halo (either bezel or prong) make the center look much bigger? Also, with that size of a diamond, do you suggest prong or bezel w/ a halo?

As for that Tacori, too expensive. If I was spending $2k on a setting, I would get the Danhov ME1

I really like the Sleek Line Legato (with or without pave) to throw something else in there...looks FAB with stones under a carat.

I like #2 or #3. The halo with prong or bezel setting is really a matter of personal preference. I don''t even know which one I like better.

I''m biased towards cathedrals. I have one and I love it. It''s simple and classic which I love but the lines look nicer to me than a regular tiffany style.

Ditto, but I am biased because that is what I have

As for the others, halos are either a love em or hate em thing, if you love em, then it will be great on a smaller stone b/c it adds a lot of bling. I like th catherdral, but stones on the setting are higher maintenance than plain bands and also limit the type of weddig band you can wear with it. So I vote for a plain band like the legato.
