Hello Everyone,

This site has amazed me with everyone''s willingness to offer feedback that really helps people like me who are new to diamond purchasing. My fiance and I have spent way too much time choosing a setting and thanks to this site, we realize that the stone purchase is really much more important.

Can anyone please help suggest a stone from a PS vendor in the 2 to 2.25 range? Our budget is $14,500. I''m sorry but i don''t really know what''s most important to me regarding the stone (cut, color, etc..) I can add that I recently saw a friend''s Hearts on Fire ring and was so impressed with it''s brilliance and a friend told me that it''s because their rings have more facets... hope that helps, as you can see we really need help :)

Were ready to purchase this week. Thank you!!!

Hi Elizabeth,

Actually, the highlighted part is not true. They don't have more facets, they are just better cut. And that is what will make the diamond brilliant and sparkly!

If you want a great cut, there's not much showing up. I found a couple, one is above budget, the other is below ct. weight you wanted. I'll give you those, and ask, is size more important? would you like to go down in cut quality a bit to get a bigger diamond?

Here's the two I found. First one is actually priced with PS discount at 15,518. You would also need to see if it's eyeclean and if the feather poses a problem, don't let the plots scare you!

And this one, slightly under, but still a great size. Again, would need to ask if eyeclean.

ETA Sc found a good one too.

Thank you both... we will look into these!

Ditto, if you want something comparable take a look at the selections above, if you want a h&a diamond then A Cut Above from Whiteflash, Brian Gavin Signature H&A, Infinity or the h&a from Good old Gold are what to look at.
