No, not a great price. It should be discounted a little since is has fluorescence, too.

Here is a H&A stone from WF, top cut quality, 1 ct. D VS1 for $14,602 (discount price for pricescope member and wire payment)

Any chance you'd be willing to look at E or F? It would allow you to go a bit larger and still have a very colorless stone!

Or, if you definitely only want D color, you could go up to 1.11 for less than the price you quoted above:

Unless you WANT blue, the fluo kind of defeat the purpose of paying premium for a D

Er ... how? Medium blue fluor won't be eye-visible. It's discounted because of the bad rep it acquired during the 70s, but odds of it affecting the appearance are slim.

I wouldn't care about the fluoro at all, but the stone would need to be about $2000 less for me to consider it.

Let me put it in layman's terms. Ouch!

thanks. the 1.13ct F color seems a great deal

The price is indeed high. You were given some good options.

I would definitely look at plenty of diamonds in E, F, and G color grades; you will get a much better value!

I like this one: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2631616.htm

I think the diamond was tilted for the IS in the other one.

I have an F VS1 and it is GORGEOUS. The only diamond to ever "out white" my diamond was a 4 carat D with strong blue fluorescence and I can't even see the inclusions with a loupe. It's completely mind clean. Granted I have a step cut, so I was pretty much stuck with higher color and clarity but even so... I love my diamond.

a lot of people want fluor to enhance the color so it looks whiter. if it's already D, why want the fluor (of course unless it's a personal preference). I should also add unless the diamond also comes at a good price cos of the fluor.

I have a D w/ SB fluor and I adore it! I can't see the fluor in most lighting, but in sunlight - wow! I L-O-V-E the blue tint it gives. It's a cool effect! In my opinion it doesn't "defeat the purpose" of a D - it adds to it!
