I just wanted to let everyone know how everything went with Chubb. I noticed my diamond was cracked/chipped on June 26, took it in to get looked at on June 27, filed a claim on that day, overnighted the diamond to Chubb on June 29, just called them this morning July 5 to check the status of the claim and they told me that a check was being cut today and mailed out. I had it reappraised by the jeweler before sending out, and Chubb approved the higher amount, although it was not much more than the original appraisal, I only had my ring for ten months. I am definetely going to insure my new diamond with Chubb and highly recommend them. I found Pricescope after I bought my original diamond, so now I will be able to use everything I have learned to purchase an even more beautiful diamond!!! Thank you to all who have already answered my questions and to all who will be helping me out in the next couple weeks to find my diamond-my wedding is in three months, so I need to move quickly!!!
