I've been a lurker for a while, reading up on as much as I can. As I now understand there is no such thing as "ideal" for princess cuts unless graded by AGS (and even still some question) I was hoping you guys could help me rate this one:

I see the table is > Depth which is a good start...

Carat weight:
1.14
Cut: Signature Ideal
Color: E
Clarity: VVS1
Depth %:
71.4%
Table %:
69%
Polish:
Excellent
Symmetry:
Excellent
Girdle:
Medium to Medium
Culet:
Small
Fluorescence:
None
Measurements: 5.84 x 5.83 x 4.16 mm
Length/width ratio:
1

Hoping this will be a beautiful stone for a solitaire.

If it's from Blue Nile, the signature ideal ones are supposed to be pretty good.

I believe you mean table is < Depth.

I think I made a mistake. Greater than should be > but which percentage do I want greater? Depth or Table? I have confused my own understanding of the table and depth.

the table should be less than the depth. =)

Yes, I did mean Table < Depth.

So now that we've cleared that up, how does the diamond look based on specs?

Not a whole lot can be said without an ASET.

All we can say without photos and an ASET is that there are no major red flags with the numbers.

By the way, E/VVS1 is paying for a lot of color and clarity that you probably won't see with the naked eye. You can get a much less expensive diamond that looks exactly the same by dropping clarity for sure and maybe color. Just a suggestion, but ignore me if you have a cultural or personal reason for choosing those stats.

Yes, it is cultural. It's also just how I roll. To me, diamonds are a beautiful thing and I want my girl to have something extremely rare. I know you can get bigger for less, but there is a reason the diamonds with these stats are this expensive. They just don't exist and isn't that the purpose of a diamond? Its rarity.

I could probably find a pretty beautiful CZ, but that defeats to purpose.
