Does anyone know where you can access this report? I''d prefer a current version but I''d be happy with a slightly older one. Thanks!

I believe it''s only accessible to the trade.

+1. It is a subscription service that is available to members of the trade only.

With all the financial swinging going on the Rap Sheet means less than ever for most people. I am sure you can find a subscriber who might let you see one of the reports, but it has the potential to mislead you more than to provide anything meaningful to you. Of far greater value are the prices for diamonds when you search on Pricescope. Obviously, the selection of diamonds on Pricescope is large, but limited mostly to the better qualities of diamonds. Still, the lower end, the part less well covered by Pricescope, is of far less financial importance to anyone who is becioming a careful buyer. A careful buyer would not go out of their way to buy an inferior diamond once they know better.

Thanks so much, Dave! I''ll probably be coming in to have my stone appraised sometime soon. My #1 concern with my purchase was that the RAP price I''m getting may be based on an inflated RAP report -- ie the guy inserts higher numbers and claims to be giving a solid deal.

That comparison checks out though

I'm not in the trade and had a subscription last year. I found it useful for what I was doing but it's not what most folks need. To subscribe go to https://www.diamonds.net/subscribe/RDRForm.aspx - fill out the form, specify your primary activity as 'private' and pay $180. Funny though how you can't always believe the advice you get from experienced professionals

The jeweler that I had problems with (long story and posted on another thread) had the rapaport printed in their brochures, placed in the store with a date of 8/3/07.. which is probably useless or at the very least used as a 'guide'...
