Rapnet the source?

My local retailer pulled a list from Rapnet of parameters I was looking for. They told me Rapnet is the "master list" of all diamonds in the USA.

But when I went to BGD (online store), I noticed a few "virtual selection" that BGD confirmed were located in the US, that were not on the Rapnet list. Is Rapnet the source for all diamonds located in the states? Or does BGD (online retailer) have access to virtual inventory in the states that Rapnet does not?

There is no puppet master. Rapnet is a big advertising platform where dealers can list their stuff for sale to other dealers. Many do it. Many don't. Those who participate can exclude whatever they don't want to sell that way and routinely do. Pretty much no retailer lists their owned inventory for example (although most of them could if they wanted to). In addition, Rap has several competitors. Some stones appear in all, some appear in only one, some appear in none. A lot of them appear in the database here as well by the way, but it's definitely NOT any sort of 'master list' for the whole country or any part thereof.
