Hi all,

Assistance required to help me find the perfect diamond for my fiance..
Situation is that I am having difficulty with finding a Radiant (her preference) diamond for the budget I am on...

On a seperate discussion someone stated to me that for the below setting I could in fact consider cushion cuts, since the cushion cut will look the same as a Radiant cut with the prongs that are used in this setting. There seems too b better options out there for cushion cut with my budget and wondering if you agree with this ????

i.e. I would be purchasing a rectangular shape cushion cut, roughly the same dimensions as the planned Radaiant cut.

Would you guy agree with the above, or am i missing something ??

Or any other advise on this subject ?

Thanks a million
Johnny

Hi Johnny

Cushions and radiants are quite a different look to each other, if your fiance has stated she would prefer a radiant then I wouldn't deviate from that.

This radiant is 1.20 and within your budget ( if I remember correctly), you could ask WF to find out more about this diamond for you,

This diamond doesn't look great on paper and it is a J colour which could show some warmth, however looking at the photo it appears to be an attractive radiant and it is 1.5 cts, you could request an ASET image from James Allen for this diamond as this would tell us more.

This diamond is well below your budget and the dimensions match your setting.
GIA 1.20ct, I, SI2 with these dimensions 7.80x5.69x3.42

The guy at I.D. Jewelry is super nice. I''d ask him to bring that diamond in and take a look at it for you. Make sure it''s eye clean and everything. Depending on how much of an expert your fiance is when it comes to diamonds, she probably won''t recognize the difference between a G or an I, unless they''re right next to each other. I know I couldn''t. And all these diamonds look shiny to me.

You could always buy it and return it if you don''t like it.
