Hello,

I''m trying to buy radiant cut diamond and unfortunately don''t have much time to look around. Can anyone with some expertise tell me what they think of this stone from James Allen? I like the way it looks in the picture, but have no idea if this photo is actually giving me a good idea of what the stone will look like. Thanks very much!

From the photo it looks like a nice radiant, the table is slightly larger than the depth, usually the reverse is preferred but it appears to not be a problem with this stone. What I would do is ask for an Idealscope image for the diamond and the crown height if you can get it, also some more photos if possible.

If you are unfamiliar with Idealscope, this page explains.

Unfortunately, James Allen told me they can''t provide more photos but they can get me IdealScope and Sarin. I''ll post those when I receive them (they said it might be Tues due to the weekend).

Thanks so much for the help!

Ok that sounds fine, more photos would be very helpful but if they won't then we will have to make do with this one. I will keep an eye out for the IS and Sarin.

Also if you wanted and you decided against this one, you could lower the colour a bit, I would make H the cut off ( GIA graded) as radiants show more colour. This might broaden the options if needed, also you could add SI1 clarity to the search if you were agreeable.

And you are most welcome!
