Hi Johnny

Have you seen any of these diamonds in person? Radiants are tricky and without detailed images and other measurements, it isn't possible to learn much about these stones.

If they are being sold online, is it possible for you to request ASET images and photographs? I would say though to stick to GIA graded diamonds if possible, EGL are less strict on grading in some cases.

The GIA stone would be the one I would be most interested in at this point but I would add that radiants can show more colour than other shapes, so bearing in mind the GIA diamond is an I colour and the EGL of H ( which might not be accurate) I would look at GIA graded H or better unless the I colour diamond is fine with you, also you will need to check very carefully any SI2 clarity diamond is eyeclean by inspecting it closely away from the store lights if these are in a jewellery store.

Also what is the depth on the last diamond please, it looks like a typo?

You are most welcome!

Various possibilities with pricing, it might not be eyeclean, the grading could be WAY off ( possibly even 3 or 4 grades depending on which EGL lab graded the diamond) and the cut quality could be bad. For example, it isn''t impossible that the diamond could even grade as low as J or K and be of I1 or I2 clarity. It is also possible there might be a durability issue with the diamond. But I am only speculating here and throwing out possible reasons to account for the price.

Are these for sale online or from a jewellery store?

Ill probably buy 3 different ones each of different variations around my budget and then send 2 back.
I presume the returning of diamonds to reputible online stores is not a major issue / has anyone had bad experiences ?

In that case, ask the vendor''s for images, I would again try to stick with GIA if possible. Also it isn''t normally an issue returning diamonds, check with the vendors as to their return policies and procedures.

Another thing for you to do is actually take the diamonds to an independent appraiser. Have them look at the stones and see if the diamonds are described as said on the reports or off by a few grades on color and clarity and then make your decision. Good luck on your search for the perfect radiant for your future fiance!

Ok, with the tips surrounding going GIA with an online purchase, i think i am going to go with my GIA certed diamond

Again its a shame but no way to tell without images Johnny - could it be a beautiful diamond? Certainly but without images we won't know. You would need to check very carefully that the diamond is eyeclean to your standards, some SI2 might not be eyeclean.
