This thread is intended as a simple way of having fun and keeping in touch. The idea, each of us can post a good quote when we find one.

Please limit it to one a day, and let everyone particpate. Discussions on the quotes are encouraged.

Please highlight your quote for easy identification.

While I have dozens of quotes at my fingertips... Here is one I saw yesturday that sparked my though of this thread. Somehow it seem so appropriate for the effect PS has on many people:

Temptation is fun....

Giving in is even better !

In order to have a game something has to be more important than something else.

Now life is a game in which what is, is more important than what isn't.

Let the good times roll.

- Wener Erhard

Kenny's comments:
When we are in High School we can't wait to graduate.
In college we can't wait till we graduate.
When applying for a job we can't wait till we start one.
While engaged we can't wait till we are married.
On Wednesday we can't wait till it's Friday.
On Friday we can't wait till it's Saturday.

On and on.

We live our lives in anticipation of the next thing.
Meanwhile the moment slips by unappreciated.

This one seems appropriate.

No self respecting mother would run out of intimidations on the eve of a major holiday.

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

This was something that everyone was quoting me for saying, although I said it jokingly, but it was kind of funny:

"Hey, I know it''s true. I read it on the internet. That''s almost as reliable as Cosmo"

Thats deep.

This isn''t so much a quote as a ''thought of the day'', but I think it''s adorable... and my FI told it to me!

"If a man is standing in the forest talking, alone, and there is no woman around to hear him... is he still wrong?"

Motherhood, it is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. --Elizabeth Stone

It takes less time to do a thing right than it does to explain why you did it wrong.

London, that''s a good one!

We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.

Sir Winston Churchill

When one door closes, another one opens...

One of my all-time favorite Churchill quotes:

Lady Astor* to Churchill: "If you were my husband, I''d put arsenic in your coffee."
Churchill: "Madam, if I were your husband, I''d drink it!"

*Lady Astor was the first woman to serve as a member of the British House of Commons.

It is inhumane to force people who have a genuine medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently view it as a recreational activity.

these are a few that are often said in spanish

"Tell me who your friends are, and I''ll tell you who you are"

"The more I get to know people, the more I love my dog"

A good friend told me this:

things happen for a reason; we get opportunities and its up to us what we do with those opportunities.

My sister told me this yesterday and I wholeheartedly agree (I just finished my finals!):

If university is supposed to make us smarter, why does it feel like it''s killing my brain cells?!
