Hi everyone!

Which would you do? Letterpress return address or calligraphy?

i printed them all myself with my inkjet, lol.

I''m having a calligrapher write up our address then I''m having it made into a rubber stamp to stamp all the RSVP envelopes with. Otherwise I have an embosser for other stuff.

Our printer did my parents'' return address in letterpress.

Our return address was printed in raised lettering on our envelopes and then we just had calligraphy on the front side. I do like violet''s idea of getting stamp made but I''d have to see how it looks combined with real calligraphy on the front. But...I think I''m going to have my calligrapher make me up a stamp now, thanks violet!!!

Oh, to that end, I think I saw this in Martha Stewart maybe? as a BM gift...they had gorgeous calligraphy stamps made with each BM''s name. I thought that was a terrific idea...

I used an embosser. I think my hand still hurts from embossing them all! But hey, we can use it again... though it is my parents address... so THEY can use it again...

Thanks for the input! To letterpress the envelopes would be about 80 dollars more than to have calligraphy. (I am already using calligraphy for the "to" address - I found a very reasonably priced lady in my city; otherwise, there was no way i could afford it!) I am having a hard time deciding which would look better...

That was in Martha Stewart Weddings. I thought it was a cool gift idea too but what would you use them for exactly? I have some leftover calligraphy budget and thought about doing that but I couldn''t figure out what they would do with them.

LOVE the idea about the bridesmaid stamps, thank you!

I would do the return address in Letterpress. We had the return address engraved on our outer envelopes, and then the mailing addresses were in calligraphy. I liked the contrast.
