If i diamond is considered a little deep. Can you really tell the difference in size with a diamond that is not so deep. i have a diamond that has a depth of 63.2 and table of 57. it is a 1.51ct round stone. .. is there a significant visual difference when looking down at it compared to looking down at a more ideal cut 1.5ct?

It depends more on the diameter measurements as to whether a diamond faces up as it should, you would need to compare the diameter of this diamond compared to an ideal cut.

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/mm-to-carat-stone-conversion-chart.17578/ This chart gives some idea, but it is thought to be on the generous side for measurements, so deduct a little from the figures shown for a more accurate representation, such as .1mm at least.

The matter is not only mathematical, in the sense that the diameter of a round brilliant will be smaller.

Also, since there is a higher risk of light leakage near the girdle-area, the stone will reflect smaller, whereas a top-ideal round will look bigger because of its brilliance.

Live long,
