Quick qestion about carat and ring size

I was talking to one of my FI girlfriends who has very small fingers (smaller than my FI''s 4.25, cant remember how small though, maybe 2.5?) and she told me that she wishes she could get a 2+ ct sized stone but her ring size is too small to support it.

Is this true? Are there limitations on rock size imposed by ring size? What is the conventional wisdom and rules of thumb if so?

you should email a custom designer, maybe LM, and see what he has to say?

There really are no rules, only with what the wearer and the budget is comfortable with. We have some tiny fingered ladies elegantly sporting 3.5 carats here. As WH4 says though, 2 cts on that small a finger will look huge though!
