Hi all

I have another post I started about the ring but it hasn't gotten any replies about the IS images so I don't know if its been looked at. I need to make a decision today. I would just like some quick confirmation based on the IS images. Here are Gypsy's recommended stones with their images and gemologist report from JA. What say the intelligent people on which I should choose? 384622 appears to me to be the most symmetric to my eye. They all appear to be the same red but what do I know. 369093 (the priciest) is the only outlier with a couple "fainter" arrows/star points (whatever they are called). That was Gypsy's pick before. Does that change at all now? There certainly isn't anything wrong with any of the stones. I was leaning toward that one based on her recommendation and color alone. Price isn't a huge factor between these but I want to be buying $690 more diamond if I pick that F color one.

Also, this is the setting I'm getting. It states F-G color stones in the setting. Maybe that should be taken into consideration.

Diamond 369093 ($4,120) stands out amount the three having excellent brilliance, fire and sparkle! It has a lot of life to it and faces up white at a true F color. The SI1 inclusion, a feather, could be covered by a prong.

Diamond 384622 ($3,430) is right up there with 369093 also having excellent brilliance and ideal fire and sparkle! It does have some warmth being an I color and it is eye-clean.

Diamond 301754 ($3,480) is another excellent choice with very good brilliance, fire and sparkle! It is a true I color and eye-clean.

thanks all for guiding me along, it is hugely appreciated!!!!

Have you seen any of the colours in person? I don't think I is very low, but it is definitely lower than F. I would not be worried about the inclusions, so I'd lean towards the F, unless the others are much larger.

Ya I have little doubt they will look the same to me and the recipient will be thoroughly satisfied with any of the above. Just looking to do the best that I can do. The stones are all virtually the same size.

The IS of 384622 stone is stronger than that of the first. But only a small amount. So I think the F is the right choice here in terms of balance and value, IMO, if you can afford it. It will look the best in terms of color in the setting and is a really gorgeous diamond. If you can't afford it, then the second stone is the one to get.

I like the idealscope and price of I.

But like gypsy said if you want an f that's not a dud

Alright, after way too much thought and reading about halo settings and diamond qualities, I have decided to go with the second stone. Thank you ever so much to Gypsy for giving me her setting and diamond recommendations originally and everyone else that offered their opinions. She's very excited already! I have learned so much the past month about diamonds via this site, light years more than I knew before. Who knew?!?!! There's probably a few guy friends I know that should learn what HCA and IS are as well. It's hard for me to believe what percentage of guys just go into a Kay's and pick something at random.

We will be sure and post pics to this thread for completeness once the ring appears on the doorstep.

Thanks again!
