Hello again.

A couple quick questions...

1. My ering is starting to feel a tad bit tight on my finger (well, not tight, but it doesn''t fit loosely or spin <-- which is something I like) Should I resize it a size larger? It has side stones (baguettes) and pave halfway down the ring (3-sides). Or should I just leave it alone. It is a platinum setting.

2. Is it true that you need to resize your ering once you get a wedding band to wear with it? I understand that the wider the ring, the tighter it seems to fit - but I''ve never heard of anyone having to resize their ering because of it. Have I been unaware of this or do the ladies just naturally have looser fit erings to begin with?

I''m so excited. I get to see my *potential* diamond tomorrow night.

generally a wedding ring helps stop the e ring turning - not usre if you have or have not got a wedding ring yet - last part of your post is confusing?

I am having my engagement ring sized as we write. The jeweler was able to stretch my wedding band (plain 18 K gold) a 1/2 size right in the shop. The e-ring takes longer because of the stone setting. The stretching concept was really cool to me, and I wish they had let me watch. :)

Anyway, my rings were noticeable tight on me spring through summer, sometimes unbearable painful or uncomfortable to wear. In the winter, they are a bit loose, but I couldn''t stand the tightness when I swell. So sizing only a 1/2 size should help me with that and still not fall off in the winter.

Your rings should be comfortable; to get one and to wear. If you notice your ring constricting your finger or it''s really hard to remove, then maybe a size change is in order. And you are right, the wider the ring, the larger it needs to be, and when you stack rings, they could stand to be a bit larger to accomodate the "flesh" that is pushed out by each consecutive ring (does that make sense?). But I don''t think you need to make a huge size difference, IMO.
