Hello, this is my first time posting, and I have enjoyed all the wonderful information on the website. Very helpful.

I have a question about what people think of these two diamonds I am looking at.

One is a AGS Triple Ideal 1.05 Carat F SI1 Signature Round Brilliant, for 5900.
Measurements 6.50 X 6.53 X 4.03
Depth 61.8%
Table 56%
Culet Pointed
Girdle 1.7- 2.5
Flourescence None
Crown Angle 34.6
Crown % 15
Pavilion Angle 40.7
Pavilion % 42.8

The second is GIA so I don''t have a lot of the measurements
It is an IDeal Cut Round Brilliant 1.12 Carat F SI1 for 6056
Measurements 6.69 x 6.73 x 4.11
Depth 61.3 %
Table 56 %
Girdle Thin to Medium, Faceted
Culet None
Polish and Symmetry Excellent
Flourescence None

I have not seen either of them yet, so I don''t know if they are eye clean. I was just wondering on the info you see, which would you prefer?

Thanks,

Ian

Any help would be greatly appreciated : )

Thanks

The first one looks very nice by it's specs. There aren't enough specs to judge the second one by. Ask the vendor for a sarin report to give you the rest of the specs that GIA doesn't supply. Also ask for info about the inclusions along with magnified pictures and an idealscope pic. If they are supposed to be H&A, ask for pictures of them also.

F SI1 is a nice combo, and these look like great candidates to delve into more deeply. If you haven't started a conversation with the vendor(s) yet, do that now and get more info to post here for feedback.

good luck!

The GIA stone faces up larger in mm. Could you request a sarin on the GIA? It looks nice from what you provided.

Thank you Lop for your input. I do really like the first stone and I have seen the certificates. I will be talking to the company tomorrow and will ask about the sarin report and pictures.

Thanks again.
Ian

Provided that the second one looks good to you, has good angles and is eye clean, I prefer that one. The 0.2 mm size difference is noticable and it's cheaper in $/carat terms

I would definately try to get the full info on both of them to keep your options open. They both may be great stones, so you could select based on price, size, inclusions types and locations. Or have them both sent to an appraiser if they pass all the spec and picture tests, and let your eyes be the final judge.
