ok- so i''ve been doing alot of research for quite some time, and the thing i realize i still am not clear on is the following: if the crown angle, pavilion angle, total depth and table all fall within the parameters for an ideal cut diamond (i have seen in several books ranges for a top of the line round brilliant cut, and this is what i am going by)- and mind you- every angle and percentage is dead on....BUT it is an Si1 (eyeclean)....how much does that really affect the look of the stone? If it was a VS2 i wouldn''t even ask...but i have never considered going down to SI1- and i am wondering if i should be concerned at all, considering everything else about the stone is so ideal. i have a feeling i am not making perfect sense here (sorry)- but maybe the responses i get will make it easier for me to clarify what i am asking....(and i don''t want to get started on a whole Tiffany tangent- but my concern for SI1 all stems from the fact that when i first started learning about diamonds i went to Tiffany, and discovered they will sell nothing lower than a VS2)
