I can''t seem to paste the setting on. Do you all think the diamonds on the band could have the possibility of falling out? Should I stick to a plain band?

Idealistic,

Just remember that DimendScassi probably Won't set a stone purchased elsewhere in their settings, and won't sell their settings without a stone... unless the stone is an heirloom or something. Worth asking about, but seems like that's their policy.

The 2nd stone from Dimend Scassi doesn't look that great to me -- gets a 2.6 HCA, and 'very good' for all four aspects -- light return, fire, scintillation and spread... It's kind of deep too.

What about this stone from WhiteFlash?
-excellents on all 4 characteristics, HCA of 0.8, Hearts and Arrows, AGS0...

If you're asking why we both picked that certain one, it's just because that's the one we liked best out of the 4 he posted asking about.

But the one you picked out is very nice too!

I like the second whiteflash stone the best t0o, but ditto about dimend probably not selling you just a setting without a stone. However, whiteflash could probably make a custom setting for you that would be very similar. They have excellent workmanship. It's really a beatufiul setting you've picked out.

I spoke with Issac yesterday and you are correct they will not place a stone not their own and will not sell the setting separate,
but I did find other places that will sell just the settings
Try Sun Jewelry.com and find out the designer of that ring and google them, you will find someone, somewhere who will sell you just that ring, if that is all you want.

Hi there,
I looked at the diamonds that you have chosen for yourself and let me ask you>>>>What would happen if you went with a slightly smaller diamond and upped the color? You would get less inclusions on your diamond. That''s what I did instead of getting the 2.00 carat to symbolize my 20th wedding anniv. I got a smaller better diamond with only 1 inclusion that will be hidden by the prongs on the ring. Clever huh?

By the way I got the paper work and now I can tell you that Issac was wonderful and so far the experience was great. He actually saved us some money by letting us know about the different diamond brands and that we could get more for our money by not chosing the 8 star diamond which is supposed to be all that and a pot of beans.

He showed us our diamond in different magnifications up to 150x so that we would get a better feel of what our diamond really looked like.
He was very patient with us and explained everything 2 different ways to make sure that my hubby and I fully understood what we were buying so that we would be comfortable and happy,with no buyer''s remorse.
I like that because there are so many different things about diamonds and so many ways for people to try and rip you off.
He explained how the ring would be made and why. (tension rings are different that other rings)

His policy is :
he will upgrade your diamond at any time, giving you the full price towards your next purchase
and No he will not just sell the ring, you must buy the whole thing from him. It sort of makes good business sense.
you can always find the designer and google them, someone somewhere will have that ring.

Over all An execellent experience thus far. Yes, I would recommend him, no pressure sales and he did not try to make us buy more than what we wanted, at the price point we wanted. He even showed us a 2.00 ct that was only 6k because he said he wanted us to have a full range of diamonds to chose from and to do what was best for us. He does about 80% of his business online, and since he has that wonderful live diamond show I say go with him because you get to REALLY SEE the diamond you are purchasing. Even if it cost a bit more, at least you will see the true inside of your diamond and that what is really important that is where most of the value lies in your diamond.
Well...... do ya think I have said enough??????

My price is $10k to $11K. I''m glad your experience went well. Did you end up with a 1.5?

Yes, it is 1.51 round /ideal cut/color G/ VS2/ GIA graded excellent. It has one tiny inclusion that shows up at 100x and a slight feather that shows up at 150x. It was the best I could do without putting us in the poor house. What makes the ring so darn expensive is the side diamonds that total 1.06 ct F color VS2. So now that I think about it, I guess I did get my 2cts huh?

I have never had such bling and I am going to enjoy the heck out of this ring and then pass it on to my oldest.

A well-cut I colored VS2 diamond from whiteflash will be perfectly eye-clean of inclusions and will appear WHITE in appearance, really no need to worry about a VS2. Many here even have eye-clean SI2''s.
