Question on using Idealscope

Hi guys,

This is my first post and I''m glad to have found this great place to learn about diamonds.

I have a question on using idealscope, which is how can you position a mounted diamond set in a ring and use the IS to view it? So far the examples I have seen uses a loose diamond. I mean, won''t the back of the ring block light from underneath the diamond?

Also for you guys who have used an IS in a B&M shop, do you always use the ldeallight as well? If not, how do you illuminate the diamond from below?
