I''m trying to ascertain my ring size. i tried on a 5, and had to tug to get it off. The 5.5 came off smoothly, though I don''t think it''ll slip off. If it''s relevant, I was experimenting at the end of the day in 50 degree weather. 5.25 or 5.5? Thanks!

have you tried on a 5.25? that sounds to me like it might be your size. 5.5 was too tight for me, 6 is too large, so I am 5.75.

no, the sizing rings didn''t come in a 5.25.

hopefully the ring you tried on is similar to the final product because that will make a difference in how the ring fits (wider will be tighter). and yes, warmer weather will bring on the dreaded swelling so account for that as well. finally, make sure you have a knowledable person help you in the sizing, it will help ensure a better fit. it does sound like the 5 is too small though.

5.5 scant, could do the trick, meaning it's just shy of a 5.5.... Or you could go with a 5 1/4 FULL. Sometimes in the AM your fingers are more swollen than later in the day, and the weather plays a big part in that as well. I'd go again to be sized correctly. Here it's just a guessing game, all well meaning of course!!!!

Good luck!!!!

I am wearing a 5.5 that comes off smoothly now in cool weather. I imagine it will be more snug in more humid weather in the summer. So I''d probably go with the 5.5 if I were you, just anticipating that it will tighter in hot weather.

Unfortunately, WF cannot size my finger themselves. I''m leaning towards Kaleigh''s scant 5.5 suggestion. Having said that, would a heavier stone spin on a looser band?

Yes, it could. Go locally to be sized just for good measure, pun intended...

Haha. It's rather far though.

yes.
i would probably get a 5.25 strong but i like the ring tighter rather than loose. it just depends on what you are comfortable with.
it would really help having a competent jeweler assist in the sizing. they can make suggestions based on ring style and fit.

The other thing is that once you are wearing a wedding band with it, it won''t slide around as much.

I put this in your other thread but I have the exact same size fingers with a 5 fitting snug (if you can believe I was a 4.75 once

) and a 5.5 coming off easy. I went with a 5.5 and I''m happy with it. I have an eternity band that is a size 6 and it''s wonderful...never slides off even though it''s big. I really like having the bigger sizes when my hands swell. the 4.75 I once had was awful for when my hands were swollen. I could rarely wear it...my fingers got bigger after having 2 children. I''d suggest the 5.5...I don''t think you''ll be disappointed.
