I have a ring with some very small round diamonds on the setting. When I look at them from the top with my 20x loupe, in most of them I can see the 8 cut lines from the bottom. I''m not sure of the terminology to use. Sorry. I''m referring to the cuts on the bottom that start at the culet and go all the way up to the girdle. Most of them are like this, but not all. In some I can see inclusions, so I would think that those are authentic for sure. Could authentic diamonds show these lines? Maybe they are just really badly cut? This is a ring that I bought on ebay. The seller encourages buyers to take it to a jeweler to check it out and gives 30 days full money back guarantee. This seller also has a very good feedback from other customers. They manufacture their rings and settings in China. The ring is a beautiful 7.75 pink kunzite and is set in 14k white gold. the very small diamonds look sparkly enough when looking at it, but I''m just wondering now because I have other rings with very small round diamonds and none of them show those cut lines. I''ve even compared it to other pieces that I have that I know are cut crystals in some of my costume pieces, but they don''t look like those either. On the fake pieces, the facets are very rough looking. On this ring in question, the facets are very smooth and sharp just like my real diamonds. I am going to have my jeweler look at it, but he is in his store only on Wednesdays. I''m attatching photos. Thanks for any opinions.
