Hello everyone,

What do you mean of these clouds? It is Si2, 1.6 Carat, I color, 2.4 HCA, said it is eye clean. I am just not sure what to mean of the clouds, it to me quiet large and quiet a few of them, too. Firstly, I like the stone because it is within my budget, seen like a good deal. But everyone ones else, I want a great performer, will these clouds affect the performance of the stone ?

Thanks.

If you are looking for great performance (and most people here are), you need to be careful of Si2 clarity based upon clouds. (Clouds in this case are the grade setting inclusion as they are listed first under keys to symbols.) These inclusions, while not obvious to the naked eye, can scatter light enough to diminish performance, leaving the stone a little sleepy. This is not always the case, but something you need to be aware of. Getting it checked by a third party professional is really important. The effect can be subtle enough that an inexperienced observer may not notice it.

My problem is that this is online purchase so all we have their words, the ideal scope pictures, and maybe ordering and getting it checked out. And I think that what I will have to do, just wanted to get a few opinions the stone based on what information we have thus far.

Thanks for the reply!

In that case I would drop this stone from consideration.
Listen to Texas Leaguer.

I'd also reject it because the HCA is over 2.0.

There are lots of rounds to choose from compared to other shapes.
I'd move on.

I second all that Texas Leaguer said above.

Note that these are not pictures. They are computer-generated Hearts & Arrows simulations, based on a 3D scan of the diamond. While useful in a general sense, they do not faithfully represent what actual H&A photos of the diamond would look like.

Additionally, you said: <<...all we have their words, the ideal scope pictures...>>

Unless I missed it, there's no Ideal-Scope picture. Given the 2.4 HCA you've cited, it would indeed be useful to see an actual (non CGI) ideal-scope image, if it was supplied.

All of my comments are secondary to the SI2 clouds concern, of course.

I'd keep looking.
