What does the phrase Clouds are not shown mean on a GIA or AGS report? The diamonds are SI1 in clarity.

It means that there are clouds in the stone, but they were not the grade maker(s). They list it for thoroughness.

So the clouds may not affect brilliance/fire - if they weren''t grademakers?

Do I need to get them checked out?

Normally " clouds not shown or additional clouds not shown" is not an issue and as El says just mentioned for completeness as they don't negatively impact the stone. If it says in the comments section " clarity is based on clouds not shown" then that can be an issue especially in SI grades.
