Question on buying an Emerald cut diamond-Really Confused!

I need help in buying an emerald cut diamond around 1.5 ct. I was offered a 1.51 ct emerald cut for $5600.00. here are the dimensions.... Please let me know if this is a good deal. Any ideas about this ring. Any help/thoughts appreciated.

Well, price-wise it's definitely on the low end, so that looks good. I'd prefer a table in the 60s though, and a crown height that's over 10.
 
I too am about to select an emerald cut. One of the resources I have used is on the website gemappraisers.com. If you click on fancy cuts and then type in or select emerald, a chart will come up that gives the standards for various grades of cuts. I was advised to stick with 2B and higher. The table% on yours does fall in 3A. The price does seem pretty low for that size stone.

I'm also curious about he SI1 because emerald cuts are less forgiving of flaws that can be seen by the naked eye. Have you seen this stone? You wrote that "you've been offered" the stone.

That's my two cents. I'm just thrilled to see some people writing in about emerald cuts!!
