Just had a question for those with Leon Mege e-rings. Since his bands are usually very thin, 2mm or less, do you find that you have to be extra cautious? Do any of you wear it around all the time and if so, any problems with it getting bent easily or anything like that?
I''ve worn mine daily for close on a year now with no problems.
I don''t wear it while doing sports, or something messy like baking, but otherwise it goes on first thing in the a.m. after my shower and doesn''t come off till bed time. I''ve even been known to wear it in the gym but shhhhhhh!
Oh and mine is very thin on the underneath part of the band because LM thinned it out for us (ran into some problems converting sizing measurements across the pond) so I do keep a careful eye on that bit but nothing to report as yet.
I have two of his micropave bands, one is three sided, that I wear on a regular basis with no problems. I do take my rings off when I get home, but I am a total clutz and I have banged them more than once and they look brand new. I find that they look very delicate but are really pretty sturdy. Hope this helps.
I have examined many Leon Mege rings, and one of the things I particularly like about his semi-mountings is that they have a "minimalist" appearance that is very "gemmy" and "light on metal", yet at the same time strong and durable.
Very impressive, from an appraiser's standpoint. An art I have seen not mastered by many craftsmen.
