I know! Sorry my first post was so blunt - I was having a bit of LIWitis and I found the post just after I had a smidgen of a disagreement with Mr Honey22 and I couldn''t sleep for it, got up to PS and found this, which is why I was a little negative.

Thanks for thinking of me though! I did confirm with him though today that it''s WHEN not IF, right honey, and and he just chuckled and confirmed, so it''s all good. Just feeling a little wierd with the ring being in the house and all. It''s our 12 year anniversary in 4 weeks so my fingers are crossed for then! But you know, I have waited 12 freaking years, what''s a little while longer - the prize at the end is still the most incredible man in the world, so he''s worth the wait.

Hi zephyr! Yep, I am waiting for my engagement ring. A few months ago, my partner told me he wanted me to have the perfect ering, and he wanted that ring to be used when he proposed. So,he told me to buy it. Only needed to be told once, so I immediately jumped online and picked my stone and setting and had it shipped. I have actually seen it (and tried it on

) but it''s not official until he ''suprises'' me with a proposal and the ring. So, it''s sitting in the safe in our robe, and driving me around the bend just being in the same house as me.

I think quite a few PSers do it like this. It was important to him to have THE ring when he proposed, but he didn''t want me to be disappointed and he knew how much it meant to me to pick our the perfect ring so we came up with the solution and everyone is happy!

Sounds like your man wants to make sure your engagement is a wonderful experience for you both. I know waiting can be hard though.
